To the peerless founder of Bhutan, we submit an inviolable pledge; 

 Which then brought the curtain down on the civil tussle and hustle.

But founded the modern monarchy - a timeless golden reign. 

On a day that connects 'Bhutan that was' and 'Bhutan that would be',

We flock together in unity; on the cusp of one vision and aspiration. 

And forge the nation to take shape from the wisdom of past;

And set the nation to sail in the coming times of eventualities. 

As we bellow a phrase 'glorious victory to Pelden Drukpa' in unison,

And raise hands up in the triumph of peace and happiness,

We pay gratitude to forefathers who toiled through years of nation building.     

And reaffirm to carry the nation forward by leaps and bounds,  

And set the tempo of the journey to Bhutan we are yet to reach.

May the Dragon country rise higher and higher above the rest.

May the golden reign of the Wangchuck Dynasty shine further and further.
