The Bodhisattva King
Plunging many into dearth and thirst, despair
and sorrow,
Who sees the unseen, hears the unheard, feels
the unfelt
Is the King of Bodhisattva,
Who goes to the sleepless bed, leaves the restful palace,
Does an untiring labour, and forges the vision,
For the hopes and happiness of his subjects,
Carries the mountain of troubles and threats
To secure Pelden Drukpa, exhausts himself into
hard toil
To provide shelter, he travels to every nook
and corner
Who touches the untouched, reaches to the
unreached
Is the King of Bodhisattva
Who walks in the mud, drenches in the monsoon
rain,
Enduring through the hard adversities,
Who lifts the poor from sufferings, he is the hope to everyone,
Oneness in thoughts and wholeness in actions, must we be,
To do the duty to Tsa-Wa-Sum in utmost loyalty.
With our throats clogged and heart sunk into
pain,
We shall pray for his turning of
wheel of dharma ceaselessly,
For his continuous turning of the wheel of two
traditions,
And for his body free of illness and mind free
of troubles
We take refuge in Triple Gem!
